

Bara Pavlickova began her film education at Ealing Teritary College in London and later transferred to Famu Film School in Prague. She began working in film as a PA in 1997 with North American Pictures in her native Czech Republic. Later as a 2nd AD, she worked on over 15 movies, made mostly for television and video distribution.
Upon moving to the U.S. in 1999, she began working as an Executive Assistant with Gorilla Girl Inc. an independent production company based in Los Angeles, which brought her to locations throughout the U.S. and South Africa.
In 2001she relocated to New York City where she finished her film education at the New School University, produced and directed two short films and worked on several documentaries, commercials and feature films. Through her film career she has worked on projects with Czech filmmaker Jan Svankmajer, TV Channel PBS, 20th Century Fox, Warner Brothers and on a project about photographer Cindy Sherman.
She co-produced and was a first time principal photographer for the biography piece “El Regreso Way” and “Puro Dominicano”, short documentaries shot in New York and the Dominican Republic respectively.
Currently she lives in New York City where she is developing several Film and TV projects for Nice Driving Films.
